Ahhhh my first movie of 2012 :D Yes, it’s a “silent film” in that people don’t speak, but there is a great soundtrack and one clever scene with sound. 1955 San Francisco Footage Shows The City As It... →
I love the music and the narration - no one sounds like that anymore. I love the old-style cars and how there’s no traffic. I love how nearly everyone’s in a suit or skirt. In that one scene at Cliff House around the 7 min mark, there is a brief blink-and-you’ll-miss-it scene of ridiculously well-dressed people watching the waves at Ocean Beach. So many men in suits and ties...
