conanchristopher: This should not even be legal!! [Video]
I was VERY SAD that Hayley Williams got sick, but I was VERY HAPPY to have my other ginger crush sing instead. Can Conan be the musical guest for every show???

Promo for Daft Punk’s new album (ft Pharrell and Nile Rodgers)
I have to say, I fucking love Daft Punk. I don’t just mean their music, which is fantastic, but their whole “thing”. It makes me so happy to see an idea like this succeed on a HUGE level. Two guys who shed their identities to become “robots”, yet they pull it off in the absolute best way. I must have watched this promo 20 times already, loving the music, but I’m in awe of how effortlessly cool it is.
Now to wait a month for the album to come out….
Will they tour? I hope they tour… since I missed their last one :| CAN’T FUCKING WAIT
Diane Birch - “Rise Up”
I got this song a few years ago as a free download of the week on iTunes. There doesn’t seem to be any live performances by her on YouTube, except for this excellent, albeit headless, one with some awesome piano playing. Is this gospely? Jazzy? Bluesy? Whatever it is, I want to play piano like that.
08x20 The Time Travelers - Barney and Ted sing a cappella “The Longest Time”
Listening to this over and over and over… I’ve never liked Ted much until now LOL
Paul F. Tompkins and Maya Rudolph - “Home” (by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes)
Another in the series of Funny People Who Can Also Sing Well
“Attaboy” from The Goat Rodeo Sessions - Chris Thile, Edgar Meyer, Stuart Duncan, Yo-Yo Ma
I saw this on my news feed, and I’m off to buy the album right.now. Mandolin, fiddle, cello, and double bass all coming together into a beautiful bluegrass song. It makes me so happy.
Back in high school, I was lucky enough to catch Chris Thile (mandolin) and Edgar Meyer (double bass) in concert. I played the double bass in orchestra, and this was the first time I saw just how it too can steal the spotlight with solos, rather than rumbling along on the sidelines, while those violins and cellos get the glory (violas, I was once one of you as well). Anyway, those two were a beautiful, pantydropping combination, and I highly recommend you check out their music.
(I’ve been looking at tour dates for the individual artists, and I can’t believe I got to see them in high school. For free. My orchestra teacher was pretty awesome.)
“Paperweight” - Joshua Radin and Schuyler Fisk
I have too many songs. I HAVE TOO MANY SONGS. My laptop is dying. I am slowly going through my library and deleting songs and retagging old files like the clean freak I am.
I got The Last Kiss soundtrack in high school, but never watched the movie because of all the bad reviews. If anything, that Zach Braff knows how to put together excellent mixtapes. I mean soundtracks. Listening to these songs in the wee hours of the night, songs that I haven’t listened to since the wee hours of high school nights, I’m getting all nostalgic.
Chocolate - Snow Patrol
Reason Why - Rachael Yamagata
Hold You In My Arms - Ray LaMontagne
Arms Of A Woman - Amos Lee
Cigarettes And Chocolate Milk (Reprise) - Rufus Wainwright
So many excellent songs. SO MANY FEELS.
I’m going to see him next weekend AHHHHHHH <3 I’d listen to him sing anything. If he could sing my physics textbook right now, I’d actually be getting some studying done.
So. Basically. I am obsessed with this song, this group, and the green-tie-clad soloist with the delicious deep voice. He sang Gaston in the Disney medley by this same group, and he was spot-on. I went from having negative associations of Gaston, to wanting Gaston to be the sexy lead of the next Disney movie. If it was live-action and played by green tie guy.
WHAT? Yes.
And his eyebrow action… I think I definitely have a thing for guys who have excellent control of their eyebrows (see:Jean Dujardin) and excellent deployment of the eyebrow up-and-down (see:G-Dragon).
Plus he looks a lot like my Film R1B gsi, who looked like he could be a sexy vampire extra in Twilight. In a good way.
